The Heart of S'em-loh was one of the two combat decorations unique to the Starfleet Marines (FASA continuity). It was named after the Andorian who was the first Starfleet Marine to die in battle. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update.) Since later developments established that there were no Starfleet Marines, just security personnel, this award may be reinterpreted to be unique to Starfleet Security, and named after a (the first?) Federation Starfleet Security officer to die in the line of duty.
