A conduit interface was a computer access-technology utilized aboard Federation starships. Accessible on the bulkheads in the corridors of the ship, the interfaces granted convenience and ease-of-use to crewmembers. In 2369, upon boarding the USS Enterprise-D after having spent 75 years in a transporter pattern buffer, Montgomery Scott remarked on the conduit interfaces being utilized aboard ship, a technology which, by that time, was commonly used.
