Selva Rasalingam (born in London) appeared on Coronation Street as a Consultant at Weatherfield General. In October 2007 he attended Jason Grimshaw after he had fallen from the unstable balcony atop the Builder's Yard; and in August 2011 he broke the news to Chris Gray that he was suffering from a brain tumour. His theatre credits include productions of The Play's the Thing, Twelfth Night, The Winter's Tale, Merlin, Mary Stuart, Eden's Empire, On the Record and The Nightmares of Carlos Fuentes.
