During the Dark Ages, an Oathcircle was the term of a group of Fae that worked together. Becoming an oathcircle requires no recognition from anyone else; but in order to make an oathcircle official and recognized in the eyes of a Court, the circle must appear before the court and plead its case before the ruler who then decides if the oathcircle will be an official one. It is commonly believed that official oathcircles are representations of the courts that approved them, and this makes it sometimes hard to gain recognition for a circle.
