The All European Taekwon-do Federation (AETF) was established in 1979 (during the Cold War) as a federation that would united Eastern European and Western European taekwondo. It was established under the sponsorship of General Choi Hong Hi with taekwondo representatives from 14 European countries. Its first president was REE, Ki-ha with LIM, Won-sup as the Technical Committee Chair. The AETF is headquartered in Lublin, Poland.
