Dr. Charles Reid is a biologist and Enlightened agent of the Technocracy, working for the Progenitors. Reid, the author of hundreds of scientific articles, works as a recruiter and trainer for new Progenitor agents. He grants initial interviews to students and, if they pass a stringent vetting process, enrolls them at his university in Richmond, Virginia for education in the ways of the Technocracy. Among others, he recruited and trained Andrew Greene, Mary Beth and Rob.
