The Lantern Festival is a traditional holiday celebrated during the first harvest moon of September. It Originates in Lussuria, a continent south of Avaricia. There, in the lush climate, formerly said to be home of the renowned Loki race eons ago, the people proudly celebrated the beginning of harvest season. Across the villages, lanterns decorated the trees, and every street corner. The youth ran from booth to booth, solving riddles and eating mooncakes, while the elders told stories of long-forgotten days. Eventually, this popular festival moved it's way northward, becoming quite a popular tradition in Port Veslinn and nearby areas.
