James Houser is a Labor party politician of J Andres. Born in New Quebec, his parents were cheesemakers, but he moved to J Andres to attend university and never left. After graduation he worked as a surveyor, eventually launching his own firm. In the aftermath of this Grand Mexican War, his firm ran out of work, and Houser entered politics.
