Shacks are residential buildings in Tropico 5. They are the worst form of housing, automatically appearing only when citizens have no where else to live. Shacks provide the worst housing quality in the game, making their inhabitants angry. Even those who don't directly live in shacks find them ugly and upsetting, which can hurt an island's tourism rating and natural beauty.
