Bot accounts have a bot flag. Consequently, edits made by bot accounts do not appear in Special:RecentChanges, which is useful when a bot account is making a large number of edits in a short period of time. On most Wikia wikis, only Helpers and Wikia Staff can grant bot flags to users. However, at Admin Tools Wiki (ATW), Bureaucrats are also empowered to grant bot flags to users.
