This man was a sailor aboard a Spanish fishing boat. After he and a fisherman discovered an old castaway off the coast of Spain, they immediately brought him to the royal palace. There, they revealed to King Ferdinand about the castaway saying that he sailed on Ponce de León's ship, the Santiago. This moment started the quest for the Fountain of Youth.
