On 20 December, 1996, after Ronald Weasley made fun of Hermione during a Transfiguration lesson, she raced out of the classroom; heading to The Girl's Bathroom on the verge of tears. Harry Potter later took her things to her, and she wiped her eyes on the pencil case.
