Betrayal is a scenario of Roland's campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars. The player can choose this instead of the fifth scenario of Archibald's campaign, Turning Point. They'll then continue with Roland's campaign, without any of the awards earned in Archibald's campaign. After receiving an offer to join Roland's rebellion, the commander chose to leave Archibald's army and follow his brother instead. He took control of the Lorendale valley, an important supply route for Archibald's army, which strengthened Roland's position.
