The exact Origin of the Northman-Horses was unknown, but most Scholars believed them not to be an indigenous breed of the Northwest but to descend from Horses that had been brought from the great Plains of Palisor by the ancestors of the Edain, the Lintador. However some Raisers speculated that these Lintador-Steeds might have intermixed with the indigenous Wildhorses of Rhovanion and the Mearas of the Plains. The Northman-Horse was a widely recognized breed on it's own, the Horses of Anórien and Rohan were both it's descendants, the Anórian being a cross-breed with the Horses of Gondor and the Steed of the Rohirrim having traces of the most noble bloodline of Felaróf, father of the Mearas. The Isengarder was a crossbreed of the Rohan and Dunland-Breeds.
