Iron Man-Weapon producer Tony Stark is kidnapped by the Chessman under the orders of Stark's business rival Obadiah Stane.He is forced to build a weapon for them but a rogue Chessman named Ho Yinsen secretly helps him build a mechanical suit of armor to escape.During the escape Ho Yinsen is killed and the chestplate cracks and inserts into Stark's heart.Navy officer Rhodey Rhodes rescued Tony and built him a new suit after finding him crash landed on the groud from his airplane.The two go back to Stark Industries where they find it corrupted by Stane International agents despite the best works of Secretary Pepper Potts.Stark confronts Stane who's built his own suit,the Iron Monger.After a battle that results in Stane committing suicide Pepper leaves Stark Industries with her husband Happy
