In late 2266, the D'k Tahg was ordered to perform battle simulations near the Klingon Neutral Zone. During the simulations, Kran was challenged for command by Klak and was killed. Klak's first order as commander was to take the D'k'tahg into Federation space and head to System 7348 to negotiate a deal with the Orions. This vessel was out of service by the 24th century, when the name was passed on to the IKV Daqtagh. (TNG video game: Starfleet Command III)
