Biasia Cheveski was a native of Poland. Wife of Kazimierz and mother of Ivan, the family fled their home after the Occupation and arrived in Britain as refugees to live with Kazimierz's brother Rizhard in Warrington. While both men found employment at a local steelworks, Biasia ran the home and looked after Ivan. However, when Kazimierz was killed in an industrial accident, Biasia couldn't bear to live in an alien country without her husband and committed suicide.
