A Ghost was a being which had been reincarnated, or had started life as the Ghost existence-form. This form was considered the worst (yet most powerful) of the three negative forms. Ghosts were most commonly called Hungry Ghosts, as they were portrayed as spirit-eaters who could only survive by feeding off the life energy of others. This was untrue, however, and Ghosts were capable of sustaining themselves without any nourishment. They could still feed off spirits, but this was only for a boost in power.
