Matt Lawson is a character in the novel Final Destination: Destination Zero. He is an editor for Borderlands Patrol and is the partner of Patti Fuller, a journalist who also works there. Matt first appeared wanting four pages from Patti regarding a missing gap in April's issue and reminded her of the TR3 being tested out of Andrews in the 90s. Patti remembered the article and told Matt that the fees for the legitimate expenses were never authorized, and he bluntly said he authorize them now. Matt later appeared at the office shortly after Will Sax, Patti's boyfriend, had died. Matt told Patti she didn't need to come in for work, that he wouldn't blame her, but she came anyway so she could retrieve information on Jack the Ripper.
