Symbiont worms were worm-like parasites not unlike the Geonosian brain worms. One major difference between the two species of worm was that the symbiont worm did not exhibit hive mind behavior and was not controlled by a hive mind. It did take over the mind of its host like the brain worm, but it enhanced its physical and psychological abilities tenfold and could communicate with others via telekinesis. They had a relativly short lifespan of nine months unless they found a host body, after finding one they slowly take it over over the course of at least three months.
