Daniel Lakin (born 1834 in Baltimore, Maryland) was an American sailor who served in the Union Navy during the American Civil War. For his actions at the Joint Expedition Against Franklin while serving aboard the USS Commodore Perry, Lakin was promoted from seaman to master's mate and received the Medal of Honor on 3 April 1863. The citation therefor reads: Lakin enlisted in the Navy from New York in October 1861, and was discharged with the rank of Ensign in September 1865.
