Jerrak Vorteg was the de facto leader of the Jackal Squadron of the 32nd Brutes Division in the Dark Army of Zamorak. All other members of the squadron feared his physical strength and obeyed his every order. He was often known to take prisoners and use torture methods for information that other squad members described as being "indescriptable".
