The Red Power Star is a Power Star in Super Mario Galaxy. There is only one Red Power Star in the game. Mario obtains this star in the second mission of the Gateway Galaxy. Mario will talk to Rosalina and a Red Luma. This Luma gives Mario a new challenge of collecting a hundred Purple Coins. Mario must use Red Stars to transform into Flying Mario to collect the Purple Coins in the air. Once this challenge has been completed, Red Stars will be found in the Comet Observatory.
