Buff Redspore was a tough, intelligent female hare in the Long Patrol. She was an expert tracker, and served Lady Violet Wildstripe in that capacity. Buff was the first to spot the wheelmarks left by the Greenshroud on the beach of Salamandastron. She later went with Rake Nightfur and his score of hares to join Skor Axehound's Rogue Crew, often helping the otter trackers with their job. She participated in the battle against the crew of Razzid Wearat at Redwall Abbey, and helped to rescue Lancejack Sage.
