The Piano Sonata No. 14 in C sharp minor by Ludwig van Beethoven, subtitled (from the Italian) "almost a fantasy," has become more popularly known as the "Moonlight Sonata." The moon rises to Rowlf's rendition of it in episode 217 of The Muppet Show. Later, in episode 405, Victor Borge plays the piece for Fozzie and the Bust of Beethoven, only to have all three of them fall asleep to the music.
