The RG8170F features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard Prestige neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small abalone dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups, an Edge Pro tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Gotoh machine heads. The RG8270F is a similar model with Tree of Life fretboard inlays. The RG8170F was produced only in 2005 and sold only in the Japanese market.
