Teddy Turner was born 13th June, 1917 in Yorkshire and died 29th August, 1992 in Horsforth. He was an English actor who played Chalkie Whitely in Coronation Street from February 1982 to August 1983 after previously appearing as a Caretaker in October 1975. Subsequent to this he went on to appear as Banks in the popular ITV sitcom, Never The Twain
