The RG770FM features a basswood body with a flamed maple top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with shark's tooth position markers. Components include DiMarzio-made IBZ/USA pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines. The RG770 is a similar model without the exotic top. This RG770FM was available for only one year, but another model with the same name was offered in Japan only in 2000.
