Mrs Daisy Maud Munns (née Hopkins) (1895-1988) was a Labour Party councillor in the Woolwich area. Born in Stockwell, she was the daughter of George and Alice Hopkins. Her father was a milkman. By 1911 the family had moved to Charlton, her father was an insurance salesman and she had become apprenticed to a ladies tailor. In 1920 she married Francis J Munns. Both she and her husband were members of Woolwich Borough Council. From 1952-55 she was also a member of the London County Council representing Woolwich West, but was unseated by the Conservative Party.
