The Provisional Galactic Republic, also called the Galactic Republic—Ylesia, the Ylesia regime, or simply just the Galactic Republic, was a collaborationist government established by the Yuuzhan Vong upon their invasion of the galaxy. As early 25 ABY, the leaders of the Yuuzhan Vong Empire had begun establishing formations of galactic citizens who became volunteers in the Yuuzhan Vong military. Initially formed into the "Peace Brigade", the military force was reorganized the following year into the Galactic Collaborationist Army, and founded with it was the "Provisional Galactic Republic". This collaborationist regime was based on the planet of Ylesia at first, and later on Coruscant when it was captured by the Vong.
