Oden Jek was a Bajoran boy. His cousin was Eleth Loral. Oden's parents died during the Occupation of Bajor. In 2369, Oden was trapped in the Paths of the Lost with Eleth, Benjamin Sisko and Kira Nerys. The two cousins were in awe of Sisko, who Kai Opaka Sulan had just recently named as Emissary of the Prophets. (DS9 - Prophecy and Change short story: "Ha'mara")
