Parmesan(VDF173) was born in February 2014 in the Drie Doring Mob. Her mother was Mist and her father was an unknown male. Her litter-mates were Stinking Bishop(VDF171), VDF172 and Red Leicester(VDF174). Parmesan's sister VDF172 disappeared in May 2014, but the rest of the litter survived to adulthood. As a subordinate Parmesan was never evicted from the group. In April 2015 Parmesan's mother and the long-term dominant female of the family, Mist, was lost. Following this Parmsean and her sister Red Leicester competed for dominance in the group. Initially Red Leicester was showing the signs of being a dominant female, but by June 2015 Parmesan had established herself as the dominant female. A Baobab male named Butch became her partner.
