In the year 2386, the ShiKahr was involved in meetings between the Galactic Commonwealth and the Dominion to establish a peace treaty when it was infiltrated by Breen Spetzkar Operatives from the primary universe that had been tasked with capturing the vessel for the Typhon Pact. It's crew was executed by the Breen soldiers as they made preparations to jump back to the primary universe. Commonwealth Starfleet forces, aided by their Dominion allies, gave chase, allowing Julian Bashir, Sarina Douglas and an away team from the Enterprise time to access the ship. After engaging the Breen, the away team was able to sabotage the drive systems of the vessel. This caused it to travel to the primary universe; however, it also jumped back in time to August 3, 2383.
