[Source] Shoto lightsabers were miniaturized lightsabers. They were used by diminutive combatants like Yoda, whose stature made it impractical to wield a full-scale lightsaber, and also as off-hand weapons for those duelists who employed twin-bladed techniques, like Ahsoka Tano.
