The normal ramshackle engine is a large and heavy component used to power the vehicle's motion. It's mechanisms are uncovered, showing the combustion chamber of one piston and a hole for where a second piston should be. Other parts of the engine are colored a metallic gray. It costs DM 260, and can be purchased from Laika Dealerships, or found in Abandoned Cars.
