The beginning of the Age of Lessons is marked by the Great Change. After unleashing UnMagick, the Penthanians, Secians, Arachnians, and Dragons under went drastic alterations. The Frontacians inhabitants of the two city-states became the two races we know today as Penthanians and Secians. The Arachnians lost the power to wield runes. And the Dragons, who had been nesting in the Great Divide nearby, now began to grow through life in stages.
