The Windsinger was one of the most famous Carrack-class light cruisers that operated during the time of the Galactic Republic. The Windsinger had a high-calibre crew and under their control, the light cruiser had a long, respectable career, performing missions such as combating planetary rebellions, pirate fleets and rogue military officers. The Windsinger disappeared shortly before the outbreak of the Clone Wars and according to a number of rumors, the ship continued to reappear from time to time over several decades, to rescue passengers from starships wrecks and to attack pirates and Imperial starships without warning. However, the rumors were never confirmed.
