Hall of Fame Heroes Buyback Autographs is an insert set in 2014 Panini Hall of Fame. For this set Panini purchased cards from the 1983 Donruss Hall of Fame Heroes set, had the players sign the cards (or purchased signed copies!), and then inserted them into packs. For example, Mickey Mantle is included as a buyback, when no on-card autographed Mantle cards have been available for some time due to the slugger's passing in 1995. Hand serial numbering was added by Panini. The cards are typically ordered in alphabetical order by first name.
