Hekalv fought in the Assault on Uvena Prime in 21 BBY, where he was almost assassinated by Lukas Sevarin. Hekalv fought with CC-4516 on the planet Jaunder in the Clone Wars, mostly against Do'orva in 19 BBY. Hekalv was killed by clone troopers when Order 66 was commissioned by Emperor Palpatine. However Hekalv saved Lydia from suffering the same fate by distracting the clone troopers so Lydia had time to escape. Hekalv was regarded as a diplomat rather then a fighter. However, he was also considered a skilled user of the lightsaber discipline Ataru.
