In Ariel's side of the story, the illustrations show that she bullfights the big octopus and sings to Eric while holding a pink seashell as a microphone. In Ursula's side of the story, the illustrations show that her moray eel pets Flotsam and Jetsam are dressed like detectives, and are dubbed F&J.
