It had it's first broadcast on 21st January 1992. It's owned by BBC Local Radio and BBC South. In 1996, it merged with BBC Radio Oxfordshire - to become BBC Thames Valley FM. In 2000 the two split. It broadcasts Reading Football Club's games live.
