King George's Atlantean Rangers were a unit of Atlantean loyalist soldiers who fought for Britain during the Atlantean War of Independence. During Victor Radcliff's march to Hanover, his men fought a skirmish against the Rangers just north of the Stour River, taking a few of the Rangers prisoner. After some debate, Radcliff decided that because they'd fought in uniform (brown, as opposed to Radcliff's green), they should be treated as prisoners of war, rather than executed.
