Although the machine didn't make an appearance in Sonic the Comic, it featured in Sticky Problems, one of The Official Sonic the Hedgehog Yearbooks' stories. In this, Robotnik tried to run over Sonic the Hedgehog after sticking him to a spring with Special Instant Glue. Unfortunately for him, Robotnik failed to look where he was going and drove the Drill Eggman off a cliff and onto another spring. The momentum almost crushed Tails but the machine missed, its tyres bouncing it back into the air. After bouncing off a palm tree, the machine smashed into Robotnik's glue factory, destroying both.
