John Melainey appeared on Coronation Street as furniture importer Terry Conway, who briefly dated Alma Sedgewick in 1989. His credits include roles in Sez Les, All at Number 20, Executive Stress, Freddie and Max, Love Hurts, The Detectives, Bugs, Dalziel and Pascoe, Casualty, The Bill and the 1990 film Wilt. Between 1980 and 1984 he also appeared in a handful of editions of Bruce Forsyth's Play Your Cards Right as a male model.
