The Winter of the Deepest Snow was a season at Redwall Abbey named for the large amount of snowfall at that time. This season occurred between the Autumn of the Late Marjoram and the Summer of the Rosebay Willowherb. It was during this time that Cellarhog Ambrose Spike brewed his famous Cup of Cheer, a type of pink wine, made from rhubarb harvested shortly before the snow fell. Fermald the Ancient later hid one of the Tears of all Oceans in a firkin of Cup of Cheer. The season was mentioned in one of Fermald's riddles as well as Tim Churchmouse's recordings.
