The Morey MK 1 knife is a combat knife designed in 1991 by Chuck Morey, who was in the US Navy at the time. It was the only combat knife manufactured in the Persian Gulf for use in Operation Desert Storm. The Morey MK 1 was not a US Military issued knife, but still remains highly prized by collectors. In 1991, the knife sold for about $10, in 2006 some sold for $100. However, only 500 were produced, and they were distributed exclusively to members of coalition forces.
