The Helghast Empire, also known as the Helghan Empire (because the main species of the Empire were the Helghans), was a massive star empire that spanned seven galaxies, and made contact with The galaxy around 16 ABY. The Helghast Empire was a millions of years old empire. The Helghan originated in a galaxy known as Vaeda, and invented advanced technology that helped them survive through hardships allot better than other galactic civilizations. The Helghast eventually made technology that allowed them to travel through different galaxies, and they invaded other civilizations. The ancient Celestials had contact with them, but were more advanced in weaponry and fended them off. However, they still managed to invade seven other galaxies.
