Maximus (Russian: Максим; died in 1305) was the Metropolitan of Kiev (1283–1305) who moved the see of Russian metropolitans to Vladimir-on-Kliazma. In spite of the move, the metropolitans were officially know as "Metropolitan of Kiev and All Rus'" until the establishment of autocephaly under Jonah in 1448. He was canonised a saint in the Russian Orthodox Church, and his feast day is celebrated on December 6 (December 19, N.S.).
