Mary Langton was the mother of Ray Langton and his younger sister Janice, and the paternal grandmother of Tracy. The Langton's lived at 2 Gas Street, wheret the children were born. However, while the children were young, Mary died, and her husband soon afterwards, leaving the still-young Ray and Janice to fend for themselves; both turned to crime. Janice was imprisoned for violence and Ray was constantly in and out of trouble with the police.
