Bloodtox blowers were deployed on the 12th day of the first viral outbreak on Manhattan island. The first deployment of the blowers took place on the southern parts of Manhattan. However, this initial deployment was sabotaged by Alex Mercer even with the presence of multiple soldiers and D-Codes.
